I love this! I'm using them all except for last FM (prefere Spotify) and Pinterest which ill give it a try this week: ive got to go take a look about this donut recipe:)
Wonderful, I will forward it to my Unsocial Media friends. I use most of them as a "consumer" and not a "provider" of information. I found many useful information on Facebook and Pinterest and definately use linkedin.
This is a good one to share, especially if you're even remotely interested in donuts (I am. Check out Donut Pub on 14/7!)
As we move along, think about the art of the social media 'share,' as it relates to your own social platforms. For example, if I snap a photo for Instagram, I have the option to share that photo & comment/caption to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, Posterous, Foursquare.
What kinds of questions do I ask as I consider the best way to maximize the shared content?
I'm on all the platforms but Last FM and Storify. And speaking of donuts, I think Doughnut Plant on 23rd St. and 7th Ave. has the world's best donuts!
But back to Eric's question, I think you have to ask yourself what is the most appropriate platform for what you're going to post.
If I want to post a photo with a really cool filter, I'd use Instagram. But if I want to post photos of my latest vacation, I'd post them on Facebook so all of my friends could see them. I have a larger audience on Facebook which could also be added to the mix.
I love this - especially the part about Google+. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteSo funny!
ReplyDeleteLove it. Let's add Storify to the mix next. How many of these SM platforms do you actively use?
ReplyDeleteHm, maybe Storify could be: "Here's how people have been talking about donuts"
