What do you think, a good example how social media can harm reputation of journalists?
I've briefly followed the topic and for me, coming from a different political debate scene, was curious to see how a topic like that got so much attention in the media and was transformed quickly in a debate between political ideologies ( liberal and conservative). I am not sure how to estimate the impact of social media vs regular media ( printed press, tv and radio) since the topic was widely covered everywhere. Anyway it is cool to see that they've already created a page on Wikipedia to present the different views/ positions.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's finally getting the kind of negative press that holds him accountable for the things he says. If you're a talking head, you're responsible for every word that comes out of your mouth. With the advent of the internet and social media, that's more true now than ever.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to blog about this! Was shocked and appalled at his comments however what is more shocking that a campaign on twitter alone can cause the loss of advertisers... shows the growth of twitter and it's importance in any marketing plan
