I've briefly followed the topic and for me, coming from a different political debate scene, was curious to see how a topic like that got so much attention in the media and was transformed quickly in a debate between political ideologies ( liberal and conservative). I am not sure how to estimate the impact of social media vs regular media ( printed press, tv and radio) since the topic was widely covered everywhere. Anyway it is cool to see that they've already created a page on Wikipedia to present the different views/ positions.

  2. I'm glad he's finally getting the kind of negative press that holds him accountable for the things he says. If you're a talking head, you're responsible for every word that comes out of your mouth. With the advent of the internet and social media, that's more true now than ever.

  3. I was just about to blog about this! Was shocked and appalled at his comments however what is more shocking that a campaign on twitter alone can cause the loss of advertisers... shows the growth of twitter and it's importance in any marketing plan
